Our History

In October 2000 Wayne Hetherington purchased the business from Jenny and Leigh.  Wayne now holds the position of Company Director and Food Safety Supervisor and co-ordinates the financials and maintenance of the Centre. Wayne has been residents of Bacchus Marsh for many years and is committed to continue providing quality early childhood education and care for the local community.

In June 2020, Erin Wooller, a qualified team leader with us was promoted as the new Director of the service. Erin has been educating and caring for children at Pentland childcare & kindergarten since 2003.

Over the years, Pentland Childcare has undergone numerous renovations to meet the needs of the community and now the centre is licensed for 100 places. 

Pentland Childcare and Kindergarten currently undergoes a number of checks from many different regulatory bodies including Department of Education and Training, and the more recently formed Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority team (ACECQA), who ensure that we are operating within the rules and regulations that guide our industry.
