Immunisation

Pentland Childcare & Kindergarten supports full immunisation of all children and staff at the Centre in accordance with the NHMRC Recommended Vaccination Schedule and new legislation known as NO Jab NO Play.  Immunisations are designed to protect the individual and minimise or prevent epidemics of diseases.  Vaccines work in the body to help our own immune system and are linked to eligibility to claim childcare benefit.  Parents need to provide a copy of their child’s immunisation status certificate when enrolling. It is the parent’s responsibility to update their child’s immunisation status every 6-12 months at the office.  The Centre provides parents with immunisation information via newsletters and the Community Notice board, including the yearly Moorabool Vaccination Dates and recommended immunisation and schedule.

A copy of your child’s immunisation history can be accessed from the Department of Human Services, your local Medicare office or by calling the Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809.
