4 Year Old Funded Kindergarten Program

Pentland Childcare & Kindergarten Centre offers a fully approved 4 year old kindergarten program implementing the new the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (launched by the Department of Education and Training in 2009).  Each child will have an individual portfolio of learning and a “Transition Learning & Development Statement”, an initiative implemented to assist childhood services and schools to improve the experiences of your child starting school and enhancing the delivery of transition programs, building a common approach to support children and families at a very important milestone in their lives.

The  program is created around individual needs of each child throughout the kindergarten year and  we work co-operatively with local primary schools to plan a smooth transition for your child and you.  

Current requirements deem that each registered kindergarten child should access a minimum of 15 hours of funded kindergarten per week.

We currently offer two programmes to suit families needs.  

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
9:30am - 2:30pm

Tuesday and Thursday
8:30am - 4:00pm

Our service is flexible and can accommodate your families needs by providing hours of care outside of these kindergarten sessions.
